Hedgehog SwankPoet came into the world this morning at 9:14 am.
He shares his birthday with his maternal great-grandmother (making him 74 years and 364 days younger than his maternal grandfather) and his first name with his mother's maiden surname.
It appears he may share some of his mother's impatience as he arrived just over 9 hours after my water broke, and just over 5 hours after the first contraction. Making me just a wee bit jealous of those women who have mega-long labors, because when things move that quickly it's a pretty darn intense experience.
Blogging may be light over the next little while, as holding the baby definitely trumps the internets for the time being.
CONGRATS Michelle!!!!!! I can't wait to see a picture. I hope your labor went well.

Congratulations!! (And I'm so impressed that you got the announcement up so early -- nice of you not to leave us all wondering!!)

Many congratulations, and glad to hear everyone is doing well. Part of me envies your short labor, although I suspect that the sprint and the marathon each have their pluses and minuses.

Congrats! If I had a little Hedgehog to lavish with adoration I don't think I'd be bothering with the internets for a while either.
