Sweetie and I have officially started taking the steps necessary in order to put the condo on the market so that we can make our move. We're 99.9% sure a job offer is going to be made to him this week, which is the key piece of the puzzle we've been waiting for. But, even if it doesn't come, we need to sell this place.
The focus of late has been on decluttering the place so that it will look presentable to potential buyers. Although, really, you'd think someone would be impressed with how much crap we've been able to stash into this place. THAT'S what should sell the joint.
Today's task for me was the mountain of laundry I've been ignoring, and getting my closet in decent shape. Which meant packing up my knitting supplies.
I've got my current projects all in the knitting bag at the moment. That includes:
- Yarn for four + pairs of socks (3 socks in progress)
- Yarn for a housewarming blanket being knit for Kaphine and Realsupergirl's housewarming gift. (1/13th of the way done with that as of today. I may get it to them in time for their first anniversary in their condo).
- One skein of yarn towards my first sweater.
I think that should hold me through until we are moved and unpacked. If it doesn't, I will allow myself more sock yarn on an as-needed basis.
The knitting stash and supplies only took up just over half of a medium sized packing box, so the remainder of the box is filled with bags and hats.
I figure if I do one box a night of items that I can live without until after we move I will be able to make a dent in things before we officially have to start packing.
